What to Expect

We want each client to thrive in a safe environment free from familiar triggers. Knowing what to bring to rehab and what to leave behind at home can help you focus on effective treatment.

We recommend that clients bring:

  • Two weeks worth of seasonally appropriate clothing
  • Comfortable sleepwear
  • Sealed (unopened) alcohol-free toiletries, including shampoo and conditioner, sunscreen, face wash and feminine products
  • Any tobacco product you wish to use during the length of your stay if you’re under the age of 21.
    • Our facility staff will not be able to purchase tobacco products for patients under the age of 21. Patients under the age of 21, and in our care, will not be able to purchase tobacco products while with us.

Items that are not permitted at our center include:

  • Drugs or alcohol, drug-related paraphernalia and clothing depicting drugs
  • Narcotic medications (including medicinal or licensed marijuana)
  • Products that contain alcohol as an ingredient, including hand sanitizer and mouthwash

  • Opened cigarette packs, vitamin bottles or toiletries
  • Computers, tablets, cameras and electronic devices with internet access

What Treatment Looks Like

Each client’s treatment plan varies, but the rehab and sober living accommodations process are similar for everyone.

Intake Assessment

Upon arriving at our facility, each client participates in a comprehensive intake evaluation that assesses their mental and physical health. Our team uses the results of this assessment to create a personalized treatment plan for each client.

Medical detox

Most people will enroll in detoxification as the first step of rehab. This level of care is necessary because it rids the body of drugs and alcohol and offers 24-hour support as clients go through withdrawal.

Transition to other levels of care

Detox lays the groundwork for further residential treatment, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. During each of these programs, clients can receive medical care and mental health counseling support, and they may participate in recreational amenities and therapy options as appropriate.

Aftercare

A solid aftercare plan prepares people for life after rehab and empowers them to stay strong in recovery with a variety of medical, therapeutic and social supports. Our aftercare plans usually include recommendations for local support groups, maintenance medication schedules (if necessary) and follow-up appointments with local doctors and therapists.

Recovery Village is by far one of the best treatment facilities in Central Ohio. Their staff go out of their way to care of you and their therapists are top notch. Being in any rehab generally sucks but their policies are reasonable, their food is pretty good most days and their facility is nice. I would recommend it to anyone seeking help.

I’ve been to this rehab twice and shared how I met Jesus both times 2 years separately. The first year our prayers made miracles happen and the second time around I got to see even more. Isaiah 45:23

Good medical care and nurturing recovery facility. Meals were prompt and of good quality and presentation. as not told of separate veterans group. Was there for detox only, yet was told I was being moved to residential. I had to say no. For discharge labs were drawn and reviewed with Nurse Practitioner. Was told someone would contact me for discharge only after two days of waiting, I found out that it was not needed. Communication to staff from nurse took long or was not acted on. Still recommend treatment location but with clear understanding of what facility has to offer and know what you want as end result. Daniel H.
